The Port Network Authority of the Ionian Sea, Lead Partner of Project “SMARTPORT”, is glad to invite you to join the Partnership in two main public events scheduled for May, 16th at the Ionian Faculty of the University of Bari, in Taranto (Italy).
Starting from 11.00, PNAIS will set an Institutional Meeting which will aim at sharing the experience in improving the energetic profile of public authorities, with particular attention to those involved in the management of the port ecosystem. During the event, representatives from the Port of Taranto will illustrate the environmental policy framed into the environmental energy planning documents (“Documento Energetico Ambientale Sistema Portuale, or DEASP). Furthermore, representatives from ARPA Puglia will illustrate their activities and results within Project SMARTPORT.
In the afternoon session, a Round Table will take place with the potential and effective operators involved in the energy efficiency process of the Port of Taranto. During the event, representatives from the Port Authority will illustrate its strategic vision of the energy-environmental policy, as well as its effective implementation: on this proposal, the technical officers of PNAIS will outline the contents of the Public-Private Partnership initiative on this topic, which will aim at the realization of renewable energy power plants on the Port-property surface.
The "Smart and Sustainable Energy Port" Project is funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro 2014-2020 Program. The Project aims to enhance South Adriatic and Ionian ports’ energy profile by introducing eco-sustainable LED lighting systems through pilot actions and adopting new and efficient energy strategies that combine the use of renewable energy sources, energy saving, energy storage, and smart grid technologies.
